Tell us about Maya's day
Tap to record
Bedtime is hard. Screens aren't the answer.
The same three books. The “one more video” bargaining. The blue light that keeps little eyes wide open. There's a calmer way to wind down — a story that's truly theirs, read aloud in the dark.
How it works
Three quiet steps between a busy day and a peaceful goodnight.
Step 1
Record a moment
Tap the candle and tell Day2Tale about something from your child's day — the park, a scraped knee, a new friend.
Step 2
We write it
In about a minute, that moment becomes a gentle, original bedtime story — starring your child by name.
Step 3
A warm voice narrates it to sleep
Press play and let a calm, soothing voice read tonight's story aloud. Screen down, lights low.

Questions parents ask
What is Day2Tale?
Day2Tale is an iOS app that turns a moment from your child's day into a warm, narrated bedtime story — starring your child by name. You record a short voice note about their day, and in about a minute the app writes and reads aloud an original, age-appropriate story, with a built-in sleep timer.
Is there an app that makes bedtime stories with my child's name?
Yes — that's exactly what Day2Tale does. Every story is written with your child at the center of the adventure, personalized to their name, age, and the things they love, and created fresh from a real moment of their day.
What ages is it for?
Day2Tale is designed for young children at bedtime — roughly ages 0 to 10 — and lets you tune the story to your child's age and interests, from dinosaurs and space to princesses and gentle everyday adventures. Parents set everything up and press record.
Are AI bedtime stories safe for kids?
With Day2Tale, yes. It's parent-operated with no child accounts, the content is kept gentle and age-appropriate with calm endings, there are no ads, and your child's data is never sold. Your child simply listens to a story you set up. See our Safety & Privacy page for detail.
Is my child's data private?
Yes. Day2Tale is operated by you, the parent — there are no child accounts. Your child's name is used only to personalize the story and is never shared with advertisers or sold. Voice recordings are used to create the story, then can be deleted at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
How does the AI work?
You record a short description of your child's day. Day2Tale transcribes it and uses a secure AI pipeline (running on Cloudflare Workers AI) to write an original, age-appropriate bedtime story, then narrates it in a warm voice. Nothing about your child is used to train third-party advertising models.
How much does Day2Tale cost?
Day2Tale is free to try for 7 days. After that it's $9.99/month or $59.99/year (under $5 a month), billed through the App Store. One-time story packs are also available if you'd rather not subscribe, and you can cancel anytime.
Can I read some stories before I download the app?
Yes. We publish free sample bedtime stories by age (0–2, 3–6, 6–10) and by theme so you can see exactly what a Day2Tale story feels like before installing. In the app, the story stars your own child, created from their real day.
Do stories work offline?
Creating a new story needs an internet connection so we can write and narrate it. Once a story is saved to your library, you can replay it — plan ahead and generate tonight's story before you head somewhere without signal.
Is Day2Tale available on Android?
Day2Tale is on iPhone and iPad today, with Android in the works. Join the Android waitlist and we'll email you the moment it's available on Google Play.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store, so you cancel anytime from your Apple account: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Day2Tale → Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or period ends to avoid the next charge.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account & Data to remove your stories, recordings, and personal details. If you have already deleted the app, email support@day2tale.com and we'll handle the deletion for you. See the Delete Account page for step-by-step instructions.
