Privacy Policy

Day2Tale (“we”, “us”) is operated by WaveTech LLC. This policy identifies the data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, the services that process it, and the choices available to you. Day2Tale is a parent-facing service. It does not offer child accounts and is not intended to be set up or operated directly by a child.

Data used to provide Day2Tale

• Account and device data: a pseudonymous Day2Tale user ID, installation ID, App Attest security data, app version, entitlement, and credit balance.
• Parent input audio: the recording you submit about your child's day. It may contain parent or child voices and is transcribed for story creation.
• Child profile details: the name, age or age range, interests, goals, and values that a parent or guardian chooses to provide.
• Story content: generated story text while it is processed, its title and status, and the generated narrated audio stored in your library.
• Purchase data: subscription status, product, transaction identifiers, and credit-ledger entries. Apple processes payment-card information; we do not receive it.

Audio and AI processing

Input audio, the transcript, child details, and generated story are processed through Cloudflare Workers, R2, AI Gateway, and Workers AI to moderate and write the requested story. We send the generated story text to ElevenLabs to create narration in your selected voice. This text may include the child's name and details included in the story. We request narration with provider logging disabled. The original recording is not sent to ElevenLabs. Generated narration is saved in Cloudflare R2 for playback. We do not provide child details, recordings, transcripts, story text, or generated narration to advertising or attribution services.

Your collection choices

Before story creation, the app presents a direct data notice. Required story processing must be acknowledged by the parent or guardian. The following choices are separate, initially off, and can be changed later in Settings:

• Product analytics: permits allowlisted app-interaction events to Day2Tale. It never includes child or story content.
• Marketing attribution: permits Tenjin to measure installs and purchases. Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission is requested separately where required. Paid features do not depend on this choice.
• Improve with audio: permits isolated copies of the submitted input and generated narration to be used to evaluate and improve story and audio quality. Withdrawing this choice deletes those improvement copies.

Analytics, attribution, and purchases

Depending on the choices above, we use the following services:

• Tenjin for optional install and purchase attribution.
• RevenueCat for subscriptions, entitlements, and purchase management.
• Apple for App Store purchases, StoreKit, and App Attest.

Optional analytics and attribution may process the pseudonymous user ID, device or advertising identifier where permitted, purchase status, and allowlisted event names. Day2Tale uses Tenjin as its mobile measurement partner. PostHog, Meta, and TikTok integrations are not enabled in version 1.

Retention

• Normal service input audio is automatically deleted after 7 days. If you separately choose Improve with audio, an isolated improvement copy is retained as described below.
• Stories and generated narration remain in your profile without a fixed expiry while your Pro subscription is active. If Pro ends, a 90-day grace period begins. Renewing before deletion restores subscriber retention.
• Optional improvement copies are retained while the related story remains available, unless you withdraw that choice or delete the account sooner.
• Pro subscribers may save generated narration for offline listening. These device copies have no automatic timer and remain until you remove them or delete the Day2Tale account.
• Consent records are retained while needed to honor and demonstrate your choices. Pseudonymous purchase, affiliate, tax, fraud-prevention, and financial records may be retained where required by law or legitimate accounting obligations.

Children's information

A parent or guardian controls all child details submitted to Day2Tale. We use those details only for story functionality and do not sell them, use them for tracking, or send them to analytics or advertising providers. If you believe a child submitted information without appropriate parental involvement, contact us so we can delete it.

Deletion and your rights

Settings → Delete Account & Data permanently removes the profile, child details, stories, active consent data, and stored audio from Day2Tale and starts tracked deletion work for relevant processors. Processor completion, including support-assisted Tenjin deletion, can take up to 30 days. The old Day2Tale token is revoked immediately. Legally required pseudonymous financial records are retained without restoring app access. See the detailed Delete Account instructions.

You can access or withdraw optional choices in Settings. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, email support@day2tale.com. We may request information needed to verify that the request relates to your account.

Security and changes

We use encrypted transport, restricted service credentials, pseudonymous identifiers, device-integrity checks, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the updated date here; material changes may require a new in-app choice.
